In her latest work, Other Lovers, Natalia Rachel explores the question that is on so many of our lips... how do we love in a world that has taught us everything that love is not?
This genre-bending novel follows the journey of Lena, an expat, divorced mother of two as she enters the jarring jungle of middle-aged dating. Expect medium spice, raw real moments set against a stunning global backdrop, and insights into her therapy sessions as she unpacks her marriage and her childhood. Luckily she is surrounded by a wonderful group of girlfriends who are all on their own journey of redesigning love, rather than being designed by it.
Thanks to Natalia's background as a therapist and human behaviour educator, the book has a strong psychology and sociology lens. However, instead of being didactic, it is remarkably relatable. Natalia creates even more depth by weaving poetry between chapters to take the reader on a journey into their own hearts.
The work is inspired by not only her own experiences, but that of her friends and clients too, making it a truly human-centred read.
During this special launch event, hear a short author talk and take part in a live Q&A with host Hedi Schefer. Natalia will also perform some of the poetry from the book. Then join us for drinks, book signing and an evening inspiring us all to love again.

• the fear of getting too close or too seen• the habit of over-giving
• emotional guarding or shutting down
• the belief that love has to be earned
• the tendency to disconnect when something feels too real
Not because something is wrong with you. But because your system learned protection first, connection second. And here we gently update that.
We don’t force openness. We create safety for it.
So love becomes something your system can actually allow, not manage.
