Ho´oponopono Meditation: How to use the power of forgiveness and set yourself free?
Updated: May 4
Forgiveness is scientifically proven to be one of the hot ways to release pain and negative energy in your body. You get rid of emotions no longer serving you. Hence, set yourself free.
When you forgive, you are breaking the cycle of the replay in your head—being a victim. And you can then replace it with becoming the creator you actually and naturally are.
Forgiveness means a major upgrade for your life as you are taking responsibility (no, you don't need the other person with you, you do it entirely by yourself). And go into self-empowerment.
And you can create meaningful, healed relationships from that space.
Are you ready?
Click here for the Hawaiian Hoòponopono ritual to help you practice forgiveness in a relaxed state of meditation. And scroll down for some more instructions on how to make the most out of this practice.
So, this exercise I'm sharing for setting yourself free today is a Hawaiian method called Hoòponopono. Which, according to legends, has existed for centuries to clear the energy of communities and heal relationships.
Ho'oponopono means "put right". Ho'o means "to do" and "pono" means "right". The repetition of the word pono here stands for "doing right" or "putting things right" both for oneself and for others.
Now the mantra contains 4 simple sentences. They are:
✨ I'm sorry
✨ Please forgive me
✨I thank you
✨I love you
It seems the wrong way around. As you are forgiving the other person (or yourself or even things. I'll get to that later).
But that's simply an energetic trick. You can clear any energetic charge by high vibrations such as love and forgiveness.
And that energy knows no time and space, even affecting the energetic bond you have with a deceased person and setting you free that way.
Now how to make this work?
Even though I don't mention it in the video, I strongly recommend you start with yourself. That way the mantra also doesn't feel as odd. Start by forgiving yourself for stupid behaviors, decisions you've made, and pain you caused others. Self-responsibility is a superpower, and forgiveness is your magic stick.
Then move on to other people and even things you want to forgive.
Things? Yes! Money wounds you have, never feeling you have enough. Your health, a city you lived in and felt strong (negative) ties to.
Really, the sky is the limit.
It's about bringing everything in balance again and your negative thoughts out of your head.
Try it for yourself!
✅ Decide on what you want to focus on for the next 10-15 minutes of cleansing mantra reciting.
✅ Find a quiet space and then listen to the video posted above.
✅ Important: Acknowledge and value every emotion coming up. Let it go, don't hold it back! Cause once it's gone and released, it's gone and released ;)
BRAVO! You rock.
If you have questions, comment below the video or here. I'm happy to answer them.
Always remember: Forgiveness is a super power and can literally change the world we live in.
To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.
